Kelly Tractor recently hosted an open house in Fort Myers, Fla. The “Get In Get Real” gave customers the opportunity to see and operate some of Cat’s newest models of excavators, wheel loaders, dozers, motorgraders and backhoe loaders. There also was a demonstration of the condition monitoring system and representatives of Sitech were on hand to explain and demonstrate machine control systems.

One of the day’s highlights was the talk by H. Shelton Weeks, chair, department of economics and finance at Florida Gulf Coast University. His presentation included a discussion of national and Florida economies as well a presentation on the economy of southwest Florida.

The event provided lunch and the opportunity to win door prizes including a one-week free rental of a Cat machine and tickets to the NASCAR race in Homestead in November.
