Keystone Chapter, Associated Builders & Contractors Inc. (ABC) has recognized local contractor firms for work performed on area construction projects during the annual ABC Excellence in Construction Awards Gala, held July 19 at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center, Hershey, PA.
Approximately 350 association members, project owners, design professionals and guests were in attendance to help celebrate the 2006 ABC Excellence in Construction Program. The Diamond level sponsors were: Frey Lutz Corporation and Harmon & Davies P.C. Kinsley Construction Inc., was the Premier level sponsor.
ABC Keystone’s Awards of Excellence Gala has become a competition within the construction industry that recognizes outstanding construction projects across the region. One of the main goals of the program is to create a greater awareness within the community of the quality workmanship produced by free enterprise contractors.
This year’s program showcased 70 entries, all judged upon specific criteria relating to the quality of construction and workmanship by a panel of design professionals and members of the construction industry.
The Excellence Award, the top honor, is given to the top winner(s) of each category, provided the project earned at least 80 out of 100 points. If none of the projects in a category scored more then 80 points, then an Excellence Award will not be given. The Merit Award, second place, is automatically given to each project that scored 80 or more points. All other entrants earn a Certificate of Commendation.
