Komatsu held its 2nd annual Customer Demo Day on July 14th. The morning classroom style event, which was held at the Grand Hotel in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., allowed the manufacturer to show what goes on behind the scenes and to educate the customer about how intelligent Machine Control technology is set up for different job sites using 3D rendering.

Hundreds of attendees turned out for the afternoon demo portion of the event at The Darling Sand and Gravel, home of JSK Excavation.

The three dozers on display — the D65i-18, D39i-23 and D51i-22 — were set up in drag race style waiting for the attendees to lay some grade. Using the intelligent Machine Control, individuals were able to grade the landscape without any real technician capabilities.

The three excavators on display — the PC490LCi-11, PC360LCi-11 and the PC210LCi-10 — all were set up for different scenarios that one might find on a job site.
