Construction Laser Inc. held its 2018 Demo Day, which doubled as a grand opening event, at its new McDonough, Ga., facility Friday, Oct. 12. About 200 guests and staffers came out for the event on a picture-perfect Georgia day.

The event gave attendees the opportunity for some hands-on operational time on machines and devices representing the latest technology in surveying, machine control, GPR, GIS, drone/UAV and laser scanning.

A terrific barbecue lunch was served, and there were lots of giveaways and drawings for many grand prizes including a Yeti cooler and a Big Green Egg smoker.

Pitching their event tents and lending a hand or providing equipment for the demo were manufacturers such as Leica Geosystems, GeoMax, SharpGrade, Agtec, Keson, SitePro, Energy Mechanical, as well as local equipment dealers lending their machines including Flint Construction and Forestry Division, Mason Tractor and AgPro.

This custom smoker was built by Ken Rakestraw and Bubba Watts of Energy Mechanical Engineering, Fayetteville, Ga., which also fabricate the trench shoring and gravel box products sold at Construction Laser.
