Link-Belt will unveil its all-new 110-ton (100-t) TCC-1100 telescopic crawler crane at ConExpo. The TCC-1100 is third in a growing lineup of Link-Belt telescopic crawlers. Its design focuses on robustness, simplicity and reliability for the general contractor or bare rental fleet owner, according to the manufacturer.

Boom Up

The TCC-1100 will offer a capacity chart at radius that rivals even lattice crawler cranes with a similar base rating. Its full power boom, fabricated from ultra-high-strength steel and formed in Link-Belt’s own facility, makes it fast and easy to operate. The main boom is 150 ft. (45.7 m) long and incorporates Teflon wear pucks to eliminate boom grease.

Fly options include a 31 to 55-ft. (9.4 to 16.7-m), three-piece bi-fold lattice fly and a 10-ft. (3-m) heavy-lift fly. The heavy-lift fly swings and pins into place and is integral to one of the on-board fly options. It has more than 20 tons (18.1 t) of capacity and lift procedures for two-load-line picks. All flys offset to 2, 15, 30, and 45 degrees.

Smooth Move

The TCC-1100 moves quick and easy on or off the job site and it takes only four truckloads to transport. The main load weighs under 90,000 lbs. (40,823.31 kg) and, on the trailer, is only 12 ft. 8 in. (3.86 m) tall and 10 ft. 6 in. (3.2 m) wide. All overflow loads weigh less than 44,500 lbs. (20,184.9 kg).

Once onsite, the crane can be started and the carbody outrigger jacks deployed via remote control. On its outriggers, the crane sits wider than the competition for a rock-stable self-assembly platform. Tapered axles allow the sideframes to install easily and the 50,000 lbs. (22,679.6-kg) of counterweight mount to the upper using Link-Belt’s HSL lattice crane counterweight removal system.

For flexibility on even the tightest job sites, the TCC-1100 can work at three different track gauges: 19 ft. (5.8 m) fully extended, 14.4 ft. (4.4 m) intermediate, and 12 ft. (3.7 m) retracted. It has two travel speeds and can travel up to 1.7 mph (2.7 kph) to spend less time traveling and more time lifting.

Power to Perform

Powering the TCC-1100 is a Tier IV Cummins QSL engine producing 320 hp (239 Kw) and driving a variable displacement piston pump package. Simple and dependable pilot operated control valves distribute flow to all functions. Taking the flow are Link-Belt hoist packages using piston motors and .87 in. (2.2 cm) rope. The winches have 21,022 lbs. (9,535.4 kg) of line pull and a maximum line speed of 431 ft. (131.4 m) per minute.

Other Features:

• Tilting cab.

• Camera system for rear view and winches.

• 50,000 lbs. (22,679.6 kg) of upper counterweight and 25,000 pounds (11,339.8 kg) of carbody counterweight.

• Upper guard rails.

• Cold weather package option.

• Supported 24/7 by Link-Belt Preferred including online manuals, literature, a ground bearing calculator and 3D Lift Plan.
