Keith Davenport, Davenport Inc. in Plymouth, N.C., was fortunate to have his daughter, Megan, accompany him at the auction.

It was standing room only at the winter auction.

Pete Dowd (L), Poverty Hill Nursery in Southern Pines, N.C, and Philip Ward, Ward Farm in Ramseur, N.C., shop the selection of compact track loaders.

Derek Hardy, Derek Hardy Landscaping, Wilmington, N.C., braves the weather to look over the dozers, which he will need for a project he just won.

On Dec. 27, Lloyd Meekins & Sons Auction Company held its 23rd annual December Contractors Auction in Lumberton, N.C.

The major public auction consisted of earth moving equipment, paving and compaction equipment, heavy duty trucks and trailers, support equipment, agricultural equipment, attachments, pickups, sport utility vehicles, automobiles, and other items. Major absolute packages of heavy construction equipment and trucks were available at this auction.
