Eddie Mylam (L), Mylam Equipment, Danville, Va.; and Todd Adkins, Mylam Rental, Leland, N.C.; came to the auction to possibly buy a few pieces. Mickey Meekins checks the catalogue one last time prior to the start of the sale. The well-attended sale included bidders both on site and online from most of the United States and several foreign countries. Davis Mellott, Southeastern Equipment Corporation, Chesapeake, Va., was at the sale to buy a piece or two and to see which area contractors  were bidding. Asher Brinson, Sound Heavy Machinery,  Raleigh, N.C., inspects the undercarriage of this machine for a customer. This Cat 430D four-wheel drive backhoe was sold to a contractor in Wilmington. Lloyd Meekins & Sons Auction Co. held an absolute auction for Blackmon Contracting Company Inc. on June 21 in Wilson Mills, N.C.

The drive-thru ramp sale featured well-maintained, job-ready equipment from Blackmon, as well as absolute consignments from other dealers and contractors including earth-moving equipment, heavy duty trucks, trailers and support equipment.
