Construction Equipment Guide

The 8.4 mi. (14.4 km)-long Route 202 Parkway that connects Montgomery Township and Doylestown Township opened to traffic on Dec. 3.

While the project took four years from groundbreaking to ribbon cutting, the original concept of the parkway dates back decades.

The parkway was built on new alignment passing through sections of Montgomery, Warrington and Doylestown townships, all in Pennsylvania.

The new roadway is four-lanes wide in some portions, and two lanes wide in others. The roadway includes left and right turn lanes at its signalized intersections. The parkway speed limit will be 40 mph, and it will be open to commercial vehicles.

General contractors J.D. Eckman Inc., Atglen, Pa., Blooming Glen Contractors Inc., Blooming Glen, Pa., and James D. Morrissey Inc., Philadelphia, Pa., worked on sections one, two and three respectively of the $200 million project. CEG
