Through an exclusive agreement with Masthead Hose & Supply, Coastal Hydraulics has become Charleston’s sole supplier of Flextral hose and fitting products.

Coastal Hydraulics has provided hydraulic and pneumatic design and repair service throughout the Southeast since 1979. In addition to hydraulic component rebuilding, system engineering and repair, Coastal provides a wide range of parts including seal kits, pumps, motors, valves, hose, tubing, fittings, air valves and other accessories.

Concerning the move, Coastal CEO Jeffery Kenney said, “We feel this is a great opportunity for both our customer base and for us at Coastal Hydraulics to be partnering with Masthead and [distributing] Flextral hose and fittings. We have met Masthead’s president, several staff members, and a couple of their current distributors and it is very apparent that Masthead has a passion and attitude to service both their customers and their distributors. Service is our business, so it is imperative that we align ourselves with suppliers and vendors who are also of the same mind set.”

Since 2003, Masthead Hose & Supply has served as Flextral’s master distributor for the Eastern United States. The Western United States is supplied by Phoenix-based Hose Power USA, and Canada by IPM Hose Company. According to a spokesman from OPG Inc., the owner of Flextral, this unique distribution system “allows us to focus our time and money on making top quality hose products rather than operating warehouses and distribution centers.”

Masthead Vice President of Sales Todd Jorgensen said, “The market demands quality products that can be obtained quickly without a lot of hoop-jumping or red tape, and that’s just what we provide. Quality distribution companies are discovering Flextral is a win/win, just as we have.”
