Montana Awards Nearly $18M for Road Contracts

HELENA (AP) The Montana Transportation Commission awarded 15 contracts worth nearly $18 million for road repairs and improvements around the state.

The largest contract, for a project in the Circle area in eastern Montana, went to Prince Inc. of Forsyth. The contract is for just over $4 million.

Next in line was a $2.7 million contract for a project in the Rudyard area. That contract went to Riverside Contracting Inc. of Missoula.

A $2.1 million contract for a project near Somers was awarded to Schellinger Construction Co. Inc. of Columbia Falls.

The other contracts ranged from $204,000 to $1.5 million, for projects near Missoula, Kalispell, Bozeman, Wolf Creek, Malta, Billings, Devon, Judith Gap and Fort Benton.

Most of the work will take place next year.
