More Than 2,000 Bidders Participate in Albany, N.Y., Auction

More than 2,000 bidders participated online and in person at Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers’ multi-million dollar unreserved public equipment auction in Albany, N.Y., on Feb. 25.

Bidders came from 44 countries, including 47 U.S. states. Approximately 64 percent of the equipment was sold to out-of-state buyers, from as far away as Albania, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Guatemala, Israel and Nigeria. Online bidders purchased approximately 42 percent of the equipment sold (by dollar value).

The auction featured more than 1,450 equipment items, including 45-plus pickup trucks and 30-plus excavators, as well as a large selection of loader backhoes, wheel loaders, crawler tractors and more.
