More than 2,500 guests recently attended Franklin Equipment’s Grand Opening of the dealership’s new Columbus superstore, located at 4141 Hamilton Square Blvd. in Groveport, Ohio. The new 65,000 sq. ft. facility features a new car dealership type indoor display area, an extensive parts inventory, fully equipped service bays and a 13 acre accessible equipment lot.

On display and presented in live demonstrations were the latest new construction and agriculture equipment from New Holland, Coyote and Hudson Bros. trailers, JLG aerial equipment, attachments and ground engaging tools from Multiquip, Okada, Paladin, Tamco and Woods, as well as a full line of Wacker Neuson machines.

Along with all of the equipment to review, attendees were treated to dinner and live entertainment from Nashville recording artist Colton James. James’s appearance at the event was co-sponsored by Franklin Equipment and NUCOR Steel. Representatives from NUCOR Steel were on hand at the opening to promote Operation Steel Warrior, a national NUCOR project to benefit wounded veterans. The benefit concert, featuring Colton James, Steel Creek and Fogery Run, was held May 17 at the Marion Fairgrounds Coliseum.

Franklin Equipment was founded in 2008 by Gary Gabriel, Troy Gabriel, Tom Richardson and Tony Repeta, when they purchased the assets of Franklin Tractor. With more than 150 years of combined experience in the equipment and rental industry, the ownership team has focused on developing their sales force, hiring and training a dedicated team of certified service technicians, and building an equipment line focused on the needs of their customers. The dealership offers new and used equipment sales and rentals as well as parts and service. Serving customers involved with commercial and residential construction, excavating and grading, agriculture, landscape and forestry, recycling and scrap processing in central Ohio, the dealership has two branch operations, located in Dublin and Newcomerstown, Ohio, as well as its new Groveport facility.
