Storm Equipment hosted its 2026 Storm Field Day July 29–30, 2026, in Mankato, Minn.

The event attracted approximately 300 snow and ice professionals from 19 states and two countries for two days of education, hands-on equipment demonstrations, networking and industry discussion.

Held at The Venue in Mankato, this year's Field Day represented an expansion of Storm Equipment's annual event, which has continued to grow since its inception. The company moved the event to a larger offsite facility to accommodate more attendees and create additional opportunities for education, networking and hands-on experiences.

A major focus of the event was education that contractors could take directly back to their businesses. Storm CEO Jordan Smith joined Bob Marks (EMI) for a detailed discussion comparing two different approaches to commercial snow operations. The session explored practical topics including margins, labor, bidding, routing and operational strategy, while giving attendees significant time to ask questions and share their own experiences.

The event also featured a keynote from Mark Bradley, focused on building scalable, high-performance snow and ice organizations. In his session, "Built to Scale: Creating a World-Class Snow Team," Bradley addressed the organizational challenges that often emerge as snow companies grow. He presented strategies for building specialized winter leadership structures, strengthening accountability, improving communication and training systems and developing the depth needed to operate effectively during high-pressure winter events.

Attendees also had the opportunity to visit Storm Academy during an expanded open house and operate equipment firsthand. Based on feedback from previous years, Storm Equipment expanded its equipment demonstration area to allow attendees to experience Storm products, as well as its vendors' products.

Beyond the educational sessions, Field Day provided opportunities for attendees to connect through networking events and additional activities throughout the two-day gathering, including a golf outing, women's luncheon, welcome dinner and happy hour.

Storm Equipment designed Storm Field Day around a simple goal: bringing the industry together to share knowledge, build relationships and help raise the standard for professional snow and ice management, according to the company. Rather than focusing solely on equipment, it wanted to create an environment where contractors could learn from one another, discuss real-world challenges and take ideas back to their own operations.

The continued growth of Field Day reflects the demand for more opportunities for collaboration and education within the snow and ice industry.
