Guests were served an assortment of food for lunch, including steak, shrimp and chicken kebabs, pasta, sausage and peppers.

Superstorm Sandy was an unprecedented event that greatly impacted Foley CAT’s territory and the customers that it serves. As a service to its customers, it held an event June 26 to share with them what it learned and best practices for customers; solutions to prepare business for future unplanned events; real life examples of what to do — and what not to do — in preparation for weather related outages; and customer success stories during the storm.

More than 165 attendees and 40 Foley employees were treated to lunch in an air conditioned tent and watched video of Power Systems related customer stories and Foley customer testimonials from Hurricane Sandy. Guests were then able to take a tour of Foley, or visit the 14 different stations that were set up in the parking lot, manned by Foley representatives.

The keynote address, “Emergency Preparedness: Best Practices in the Wake of Superstorm Sandy,” was given by Foley Product Support Sales Manager Tom Domotorffy. Domotorffy has been with Foley for eight years and has overall parts and service sales responsibility for the electric power, marine and industrial markets.

After the presentation Domotorffy was joined by Power Systems Sales Manager Joe Amabile; Bob Gallery, Power Systems service manager; and Jim Marsh, Power Systems rental operations manager, to answer questions from attendees.

After the Q&A customers had an opportunity to win a golf bag from Patriot Clean Fuel, baskets of Cat collectibles, and the grand prize of a Wacker Neuson 3800 Watt portable home generator.
