More Than 4,400 Online, In-Person Bidders Participate in Multi-Million-Dollar Ritchie Auction in North East, Md.

More than 4,400 bidders participated online and in person Sept. 19, 2019, at Ritchie Bros.' multi-million-dollar unreserved public equipment auction in North East, Md.

With bidders from 53 countries, approximately 84 percent of the equipment in the auction was sold to out-of-state buyers, from as far away as South Africa, Korea and the United Kingdom. Online bidders purchased approximately 55 percent of the equipment sold (by dollar value).

More than 2,900 equipment items and trucks were sold in the auction, including 69 excavators, 30-plus skid steers, more than 30 loaders, 10 dozers, 180 aerial work platforms, more than 80 dump trucks, 180 truck tractors and more. All items were sold without minimum bids or reserve prices. CEG
