Nortrax Equipment Company hosted its annual equipment demo and open house event, which more than 500 people attended, on Friday, April 11 at its Chippewa Falls, Wis., branch.
The all-day event featured an extensive line of John Deere construction and forestry equipment. This store location has a large pit demo site and made it possible for customers to “play in the dirt” as the equipment was accessible to customers and guests.
Luke Weir of Positioning Solutions Company held a Topcon demonstration on a Deere 850K dozer. Nortrax Forestry Specialist, Ken Knauf was on hand for Forestry customers’ questions. Deere and John Deere Financial representatives also were in attendance. Fairmount Minerals Plant Manager Mark Redlin and Regional Sustainable Development Coordinator Lauren Evans, had a booth representing Wisconsin Industrial Sand Association (WISA). They explained processes of sand mining and answered questions regarding the sand mining industry and products.
As an added bonus, attendees dined in the Nortrax service shop on a lunch of baked fish and charcoal chicken catered by Karl Hartkemeyer, owner of BBQ Express in Lake Hallie, Wis. Everyone who attended received a Blue Spruce seedling and registered for door prizes.
