Bristol, Pa., headquartered Modern Group, appointed Paul Farrell as chief operating officer. This announcement followed a restructuring of Modern Group operations into a single integrated full line distributor last August. The restructuring was done in anticipation of future revenue growth as the economy improves and to take advantage of additional acquisition opportunities.

Dave Griffith, Modern’s chief executive officer commented, “Paul has done an incredible job for Modern as president of Modern Power Systems, our standby generator business. He has the leadership skills, business smarts and track record for excellence. His promotion recognizes his accomplishments and we are excited about his future contributions.”

Prior to his promotion Farrell was most recently president of Modern Power Systems and had joined the company in 2004.
