Emilee (L) and her dad, Mark Hale, DirtWorks LLC based in McMinnville, Tenn., came to look at equipment, including this Komatsu HM300 articulated truck. The nice selection of hydraulic excavators was the big draw to attend this auction for Chili Sanders (L) and Shane Smith, both of Shane’s Excavating, Rogersville, Tenn.

More than 3,000 bidders participated online and in person at Ritchie Bros.' multi-million-dollar unreserved public equipment auction in Atlanta, Ga., on Sept. 22.

With bidders from 55 countries, approximately 78 percent of the equipment in the auction was sold to out-of-state buyers, from as far away as the Belgium, Poland and Vietnam. Online bidders purchased approximately 63 percent of the equipment sold (by dollar value).

More than 1,900 equipment items and trucks were sold in the auction, including more than 90 excavators, 30 loader backhoes, 25 compactors, 150 aerial work platforms, 95 truck tractors, 200 trailers and more.
