Deep in discussion about an Etnyre distributor in the sale lineup are Steve Meissen (L),  Reynolds-Warren Equipment Company, Lake City, Ga., and Spencer McCroskey, Sunbelt Asphalt, Atlanta. Making the trek to Atlanta specifically to inspect and bid on a Cat 939C model crawler loader is Duncan Kelly, Plantation Farms, Carthage, N.C. The ringmen at the ramp make quick work of selling a package of five Komatsu WB 140 backhoes.

More than 1,400 bidders participated online and in person at Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers’ multi-million dollar unreserved public equipment auction in Atlanta on Sept. 20.

Bidders came from 48 countries, including 45 U.S. states. Close to 80 percent of the equipment was sold to out-of-state buyers, from as far away as Australia, Colombia and Indonesia. Online bidders purchased close to 38 percent of the equipment sold (by dollar value).

In total, more than 1,000 equipment lots were sold in the auction, including loader backhoes, hydraulic excavators, crawler tractors, multi-terrain loaders, wheel loaders, articulated dump trucks, truck tractors and more.
