More than 2,900 bidders participated online and in person at Ritchie Bros.' multi-million dollar unreserved public equipment auction in North East, Md., on Aug. 25, 2016.

Bidders came from 44 countries, including 48 U.S. states. Approximately 84 percent of the equipment in the auction was sold to out-of-state buyers, from as far away as New Zealand, Peru and the UK. Online bidders purchased approximately 48 percent of the equipment sold (by dollar value).

Close to 2,600 equipment items and trucks were sold in the auction, including 95 compactors, more than 75 excavators, more than 55 dump trucks, more than 30 skid steers, more than 150 truck tractors and more than 155 trailers.
