Once again Schlouch Incorporated’s teams have been kept busy with both large and small projects from all segments of the construction marketplace including residential, commercial, energy and the public sectors. During the second half of 2013 Schlouch projects covered a range of geography from Luzerne County to Delaware County. The following are some of the projects underway or recently completed.
Berks County
Muhlenberg Township named Schlouch Incorporated to handle the Hay Road Rehabilitation Project in Muhlenberg Township, Berks County, Pa. Schlouch provided storm sewer installation, concrete, curbs and paving. Work was completed in October 2013.
Delaware County
Venture Construction named Schlouch Incorporated to provide 5,300 sq. ft. (492 sq m) of concrete installation for an Outback Steakhouse in the Concordville Town Center, Glen Mills, Delaware County, Pa. Schlouch provided concrete building footers, walls, piers, slabs and site sidewalk and curbs. Work was completed in Oct. 2013.
Lehigh County
Miller Bros. Construction Inc. has chosen Schlouch Incorporated to install a driveway for an existing commercial building of Niagara Bottling on a 10-acre site on Industrial Boulevard, Allentown, Upper Macungie Township, Lehigh County, Pa. Schlouch provided clearing, grubbing, survey, stakeout, earthwork, sediment/erosion control, storm sewer, roads, concrete, curbs and seeding. Schlouch also will install a drainage system. Work was completed in Oct. 2013.
Luzerne County
Sand Springs Development Corporation named Schlouch Incorporated to prepare the site for 13 single-family homes at Sand Springs Phase 4. The residential project being developed by Tuskes Homes is located in Butler Township, Luzerne County. Schlouch is providing earthwork, sediment/erosion control, sanitary and storm sewers, water line installation, roads, paving and seeding. Work was to be completed in fall 2013.
George J. Hayden Inc. named Schlouch Incorporated to prepare a 10-acre site for Beacon Power’s Hazle Spindle 20 MW grid. The site is in Hazle Township, Luzerne County, Pa. Schlouch provided clearing, grubbing, survey, stakeout, blasting, rock removal, earthwork, storm sewers, sediment/erosion control, equipment pad, concrete, curbs and seeding.
Montgomery County
Paul Moyer & Sons, Inc. has selected Schlouch Incorporated to prepare the site for Country Meadows, a 32-home residential subdivision. Country Meadows is located on Dotterer Road, New Hanover Township, Montgomery County, Pa. Schlouch is providing clearing, grubbing, survey, stakeout, blasting, earthwork, sediment/erosion control, sanitary and storm sewers, roads, curbs, paving and seeding. As part of the project, Schlouch will construct eight underground basins. Work will be completed in the winter 2013.
Hilltown Coventry L.P. has named Schlouch Incorporated to prepare a 25-acre residential site for Hanover Woods in New Hanover Township, Montgomery County, Pa. Schlouch is providing clearing, grubbing, survey, stakeout, blasting, earthwork, sanitary and storm sewers, sediment/erosion control, roads, curbs and paving. Work will be completed in the summer 2014.
Dale Corporation has chosen Schlouch Incorporated to prepare a 4.8-acre site at Rosemont College for athletic fields. The site is located in Rosemont, Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County, Pa. Schlouch is providing clearing, grubbing, survey, stakeout, demolition, rock removal, earthwork, sediment/erosion control, storm sewers, curbs, paving, landscaping, seeding, sodding, irrigation and fence installation. Work was completed in Sept. 2013.
Rouse Chamberlin Homes Ltd. selected Schlouch Incorporated to prepare a 15-acre site for 39 townhouses. The residential development is on Camp Hill Road, Springfield Township, Montgomery County, Pa. Schlouch is providing clearing, grubbing, blasting, rock removal, earthwork, sediment/erosion control, sanitary and storm sewers, water line installation, roads, building pads, curbs, paving and seeding. Work will be completed in the spring 2014.
Delgrippo Enterprises Inc. named Schlouch Incorporated to provide dedication paving for Falcon Crest, a 32-homesite residential community in Hanover Township, Montgomery County, Pa. Work was completed in Sept. 2013.
Pinegood Trooper Associates L.P. selected Schlouch Incorporated to prepare the site for a Wawa on West Main Street and South Trooper Road, West Norriton, Montgomery County, Pa. Schlouch is providing clearing, grubbing, survey, stakeout, demolition, earthwork, sanitary and storm sewers, water line installation, sediment/erosion control, roads, building pad, curbs and paving.Work will be completed in the summer 2014.
Northampton County
Hilton Construction LLC has named Schlouch Incorporated to prepare a 36-acre site for Palmerview Apartments. Iron Hill Construction Management Co. is the construction manager for the project. The site is located in Palmer Township, Northampton County, Pa. Schlouch is providing clearing, grubbing, survey, stakeout, blasting, rock removal, earthwork, sediment/erosion control, sanitary and storm sewers, water line installation, roads, building pad grading, curbs, paving and landscaping. Work will be completed in the fall 2014.
GLN Construction Management Inc. has chosen Schlouch Incorporated to provide improvements for a 302,800 sq. ft. (28,131 sq m) warehouse site on 25 acres on Fritch Drive, Lower Nazareth Township, Northampton County, Pa. Schlouch is providing survey, stakeout, blasting, rock removal, earthwork, sediment/erosion control, sanitary and storm sewers, water line installation, building pad, concrete work, curbs, paving, landscaping and seeding. Work will be completed in the spring 2014.
Strausser Enterprises named Schlouch Incorporated to provide 6,230 sq. yds. (5,209 sq m) of state highway paving at Northwood Center, Palmer Township, Northampton County, Pa. Work was completed in Sept. 2013.
York County
Fox Clearing LLC (Keystone Custom Homes) selected Schlouch Incorporated to pave a residential site of 30 homes in East Manchester Township, York County, Pa. Work was completed in August 2013.
Glen Point LLC (Keystone Custom Homes) chose Schlouch Incorporated to pave a residential site of 32 homes in North Codorus Township, York County, Pa. Work was completed in August 2013.
