The Ohio Contractors Association (OCA) held its 29th Annual Winter Conference Dec. 5 and 6 at the Hilton Columbus at Easton in Columbus, Ohio.
The Conference program offered a range of topics and speakers. Highlights of the two-day event included John Igel of George J. Igel & Company and Steven Anderson of Integrated Leadership Systems discussing overcoming communication hurdles; Thomas Tomastik of the Division of Oil & Gas Resources Management presenting an update of industry safety; and Nick DiGeronimo of Independence Excavating and Megan O’Callaghan on the Ohio Department of Transportation offering an ODOT update.
Keynote speaker Dr. Stephen Douglas presented his talk on “Cactus Rolling: Coping with life’s thorniest problems.”
More than 40 associate member industry suppliers displayed information about their supplies, equipment and services in the exhibition ballroom which also served as the reception area where attendees mixed a little business with pleasure at the Associate sponsored Casino Night on Dec. 5.
Founded in 1918, the Ohio Contractors Association is a statewide business and trade association providing support and leadership for the heavy highway and utility industry.
