Tague Lumber Inc. has promoted Thomas J. Vanleer to vice president of sales and marketing, effective immediately.

Vanleer joined Tague Lumber in 1993 and will celebrate his 23rd anniversary with the company in September. Starting as a college student working part time during summer breaks, Vanleer worked his way up the corporate ladder and excelled at every position he’s held at Tague including: operations, counter sales, window sales, outside sales, and most recently, as sales manager, according to the company.

“The Tague family has always encouraged their employees to progress individually through the organization and I have enjoyed growing along with the company. As I look back I realize all that we have achieved over the past 20 years. When I started in sales in 1993, we had three sales teams with one location. Today, with the addition of our new location in Kennett Square, we now have six locations and 18 sales teams.”

Vanleer also credited his success to his sales teams and their efforts over the last two years.
