Lowell H. Heinz, president and co-founder of Texas Contractors Equipment Inc., and his employees celebrated the 30th anniversary of the founding of the company.

Lowell started the business in his back bedroom in July of 1974 with a selection of loader and dozer cutting edges. He has since added multiple ground engaging tool lines and various contractor supplies to help better serve his customers.

The business has progressed through several types of storage facilities and mini-warehouses to its own 12,500-sq.-ft. building located at 9303 Ponderosa Lane in Houston, TX.

Lowell said the company is known throughout the construction industry for its problem solving expertise along with its 24/7/365 service. It also keeps a wide range of inventory on hand as well as courteous, prompt personalized service, he noted.

Lowell credits Sally Heinz, co-founder and vice president in charge of personnel; Danny Heinz, general manager; Tim Heinz, sales manager; and Julie (Heinz) Lysaght, office manager, with “making it all happen.”
