Top Guns Come Out for James River Equipment Skeet Shoot

A tasty BBQ lunch included banana pudding and refreshing tea. The weather was perfect, and everyone enjoyed a pleasant day. Representing Granite Contracting of Charlotte, N.C., are (L-R) Shannon Lowman, Brad Whaley, Chris Harrell and Steve Cosper. Jeff Greene (2nd from R) of KRG Utility, Lenoir, N.C., won the grand prize — a $900 gift certificate to Aisle Gun Shop, Mooresville, N.C. On hand to offer congratulations are (L-R) Marcus Archer, Ronnie Rathbone and Ronnie Rowe. Heading out to the course are Travis DeMetro, T.J. Rademacher, Charles Stuck and Christian Caldwell, all of C.K. Contractors and Development, Kings Mountain, N.C. (L-R): Steven Warren, Laci McCauley, Nancy Warren, Jerry Warren and Allen Morris, all of C&J Utility in Burlington, N.C., brought their Benelli and Remington 870 and 1100 12-gauge shot guns. Taking aim is Mark Ross of Tennoca Construction, Asheville, N.C. Jeff Greene (R) of KRG Utility Inc., Lenoir, N.C., demonstrates the proper technique to score well. His pupils (L-R) are  Emerson Crawford, Brian Boyd and Robbie Bald, all of KRG; Greg Beck of James River Equipment; Rob and Marty Greene of KRG; and Allen Felts of James River Equipment. Thomas Bruton of Bruton Grading, Mt. Gilead, N.C., obliterated all three clays at this station. Part of the day’s activities included a special shooting opportunity, in which almost $2,000 was raised for the Carole M. Archer Memorial Scholarship for Nursing at Appalachian State University. This machine gives  the operator an opportunity to learn how to use excavators, motorgraders and dozers.

James River Equipment held a customer appreciation skeet shooting event on May 11 at the Hunting Creek Preserve in Harmony, N.C. The event was centered around its western North Carolina area customers.

The event's 150 guests were treated to a traditional catered BBQ lunch. The door prizes given away included gift certificates, lawn maintenance equipment, travel bags, coolers and the grand prize was a $900 gift certificate to be used at The Aisle Gun Shop in Mooresville, N.C. The weather was perfect, and everyone enjoyed a pleasant day.
