Funeral services were held Nov. 5, 2001 for Tom McDonald, marketing director of Hoss Equipment Co. based in Irving, TX.

McDonald, 48, passed away November 2.

Prior to joining Hoss in May 2000, McDonald had worked in marketing and advertising since 1978. He was the marketing communications director for Darr Equipment/Caterpillar in Grapevine, TX, for many years, and also had worked in Houston and Dallas advertising agencies.

Concerned with the shortage of technicians in the industry, McDonald had worked with Texas Industries for Technical Education, as well as Construction Career Days sponsored by a North Texas branch of the Associated General Contractors.

Christopher Lewis of the sales and marketing division at Hoss described McDonald’s contribution to the company as “great and diligent.”

“His presence as both a true friend and colleague will be sorely missed,’’ Lewis said.

McDonald is survived by daughters Kaitlyn and Kelly.
