## About this model

The Caterpillar D3 LGP is a compact crawler dozer designed for grading, dozing, and finish work in soft or low-ground-pressure conditions. The LGP configuration uses wider tracks to reduce ground pressure and improve flotation on sensitive terrain, making it suitable for landscaping, site preparation, utility work, and light earthmoving. As part of Caterpillar's crawler dozer lineup, the D3 LGP combines maneuverability, visibility, and precise blade control in a small machine package. It is commonly used where traction, stability, and minimal surface disturbance are important. The model is recognized for versatility in confined job sites and varied ground conditions.
