The Komatsu HM400-5 is a rigid-frame off-highway truck designed for hauling material in mining, quarry, and large earthmoving applications. It is part of Komatsu's HM series and is commonly used for high-volume transport on rough terrain and construction sites. The HM400-5 features a payload capacity suited to medium-duty haul cycles, articulated steering for maneuverability, and a diesel engine configured for heavy-duty operation. Typical specifications include all-wheel drive, a large dump body, and operator controls designed for haul truck productivity. The model is used in material handling, site development, and aggregate operations where reliable off-road transport is required.
