The Utility and Transportation Contractors Association (UTCA) has completed plans for its 39th Anniversary Convention, which is scheduled for Sept. 16 to 19, 2004 at what will be the newly expanded Tropicana Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City. This year’s event is expected to attract 1,300 industry representatives from throughout the region.
UTCA’s Friday Convention Luncheon Keynote Speaker is Fire Battalion Chief Richard Picciotto who survived the collapse of the World Trade Center North Tower on Sept. 11, 2001.
The UTCA convention will include the presentation of Annual Construction Safety Awards and discussions of transportation, water and sewer construction funding at the federal and state levels. Contractor and Associate Member of the Year Awards also will be presented during the convention program.
This year’s convention will include an exhibit involving approximately 120 firms that provide goods and services to the industry.
UTCA includes approximately 1,100 member firms active in heavy, highway, utility and hazardous waste remediation construction throughout New Jersey and surrounding states.
