Rob Verwilligen is announced as Vacuworx Global's European Business Director.

Vacuworx Global is proud to announce the appointment of Rob Verwilligen as European Business Director. Based in the Netherlands, Verwilligen will manage sales and service, partner agreements and logistics for Vacuworx Europe.

Verwilligen has over 20 years of experience developing sales relationships in the European market, having worked for several industry leaders in various roles. His most recent position was Director of Sales and Marketing for American Augers/Trencor. Prior he served as Director of Sales, Marketing and Product Support for Vermeer International BV.

With a broad education background which includes studies in engineering, Dutch law, and port and transport technology from the Maritime Institute, as well as many industry related courses and training, Verwilligen is seen as a perfect fit for this new role. Specifically valuable is his expertise in the global distribution of specialized utility and pipeline installation equipment, which is supported by his ability to speak five languages.

As Vacuworx Global continues to develop its presence in strategic markets, the establishment of local sales organizations is critical to providing exceptional service around the world. Verwilligen will concentrate on expanding the dealer network for Vacuworx in Europe, as well as providing product support with inventory, parts and technical service.

According to Steve Smith, Director of International Sales, “Rob's addition to the global Vacuworx team will give European customers a local person to work with to help them better understand how Vacuworx vacuum and hydraulic lifting systems can help create a safer work environment while saving them tens of thousands of Euros per project. He knows the European pipeline industry well and he knows exactly what European customers demand from their equipment. We are very fortunate and excited to have him join the Vacuworx team!”

Outside of work, Verwilligen loves spending time with his wife Daniela and two daughters, Maria and Bianca. He also enjoys bicycling, playing the trumpet, and cheering on the Green Bay Packers.
