Brian Neely joined the team at Van Lott Inc. in March as compact product specialist.
He has been in the compact and utility equipment business since 1997 and has been enlisted for the sales and support of compact excavators, skid steers, compact track loaders, and compact wheel loaders for Richland and Lexington County in South Carolina.
This is a new position for Van Lott Inc. and is designed to give focus to the compact equipment line and the markets that use this equipment. Prior to this position, regular territory managers were responsible for the full line of John Deere equipment, including the compact line.
With Neely on board, Van Lott officials said the compact product line can be individualized and given the attention it deserves.
The equipment included in the John Deere compact line consists of skid steers, compact track loaders, compact wheel loaders and compact excavators.
The compact track loader is the newest product within the compact line. Completing the line are the CT322, a 2,200 lb. lift capacity unit, and the CT332, a 3,200 lb. lift capacity machine. The machines are designed for grading contractors finishing off jobs that are becoming increasingly smaller and even better for landscaping contractors for better traction in muddy conditions.
The skid steers have recently been upgraded to the new 300 series, which offers more than 100 upgrades from the previous series.
Both the skid steers and the compact track loaders have brand new John Deere diesels with 500 hour service intervals on the engines and 1,000 hour service intervals on the hydraulics.
