Masaba Inc., a U.S. manufacturer of bulk material handling solutions, recently announced the addition of The Victor L. Phillips Company Construction Equipment to its dealer network.

Masaba is looking forward to partnering with The Victor L. Phillips Company. “We're proud to add them to our network of equipment dealers. With our shared values, we are excited to offer high-quality, rugged bulk handling equipment to the Kansas and Missouri area,” said Jim Peterson, president of Masaba.

“We are pleased and excited about adding Masaba to our product portfolio. The Victor L. Phillips Company is looking forward to a long and successful partnership. We in fact celebrated by selling and delivering our first Masaba conveyor in Kansas this week. What a great way to start a new partnership,” said Bill Schoenfelder, president of The Victor L. Phillips Company.

Masaba was formed in 1962 by Harold Higman Jr. with a mission to design and build rugged equipment to withstand the demanding environments of the mining and aggregate industry. Harold's son, Jerad, took over the company in 1999. Growing up working side-by-side with his father, he learned what it takes to make equipment that not only works but lasts. Masaba's wide range of products include portable and stationary crushing, screening and wash plants as well as a complete line of conveyors, surge bins and feeder hoppers, all designed and manufactured specific to the customer's needs.

“Masaba's product reputation of strength and reliability comes not only from the high level of engineering and quality manufacturing processes, but also from our team of employees who take great pride in their work, knowing they are helping to build America's infrastructure,” said Jerad Higman, Masaba CEO.

The Victor L. Phillips Company opened its doors in 1911. What started as a used construction equipment sales company, its founders, Victor L. Phillips and W.C. Jones, quickly discovered that innovation would be the key to their success. Initially, the company sold equipment like used concrete mixers and tip-over, horse-drawn concrete carts. But there was high demand for new, more advanced equipment, so the pair added new products to their inventory, including an asphalt kettle that Phillips designed and built himself.

“Combining the two companies in a partnership just feels right. Masaba's technical knowledge, coupled with their ability to custom manufacture products give us a big advantage when it comes to building and delivering what our customers need in order to be more productive,” said GD Wisner, Victor L. Phillips Co. aggregate specialist, with more than 20 years of experience. Masaba holds several patents for features they have developed and incorporated throughout its product line.

Markets that Masaba now serves include sand and gravel, aggregate, mining, agriculture, ports and inland waterways, industrial, wood chips and specialty minerals.

This full product line has been very well received, allowing Masaba to grow rapidly within the industry.

“Customers not only appreciate the initial design of our equipment, but more importantly, our ability to customize, allowing producers to get the most out of their equipment investment,” said Peterson.

Proud of their heritage as a reliable, fair-dealing company, the staff at The Victor L. Phillips Company and the Masaba team are excited for a great future together.
