The updates give customers more flexibility to use the machines for different jobs while improving service access and everyday operation.

Making their public debut at the GaLaBau trade show in Nuremberg last week, the updated L30 and L35 feature a redesigned rear section, improved service access and a redesigned cab entrance.

The upgrades build on the established performance of the L30 and L35 compact [wheel loaders](https://www.constructionequipmentguide.com/used-wheel-loaders-for-sale/), including strong lifting and breakout forces, precise pallet [fork](https://www.constructionequipmentguide.com/used-forks-for-sale/) handling and excellent traction.

"The L30 and L35 loaders have long been top choices among our customers thanks to their ability to tackle a variety of tasks across applications, including in construction, landscaping and farming," said Darren Ashton, product manager, compact equipment of [Volvo](https://www.constructionequipmentguide.com/volvo-equipment-for-sale/) CE. "These newest updates give fleets even greater versatility. Switching between tasks is easier than ever, servicing is more straightforward and operators get the daily performance they need to get the job done."

## Easier Adaptation, Changing Applications

The redesigned rear of the L30 and L35 compact wheel loaders includes new mounting points that simplify the installation of rear-mounted equipment.

Different trailer couplings can also be fitted, while hydraulic and electric connections can be added or retrofitted with less installation work.

This added flexibility complements the hydraulic capabilities of the L30 and L35, including adjustable auxiliary flow and high-flow hydraulics of up to 26.4 g/min on the L30 and 29.1 g/min on the L35, to support a wide range of attachments.

## Improved Service Access to Support Machine Uptime

The redesigned rear of the models also gives technicians better access for servicing and repairs. Split side-mounted counterweights can be removed when needed, while a larger opening in the front frame improves access to key components and simplifies the installation of additional hydraulic or electrical equipment.

These updates complement existing uptime features that include ground-level service access, extended service intervals and machine monitoring with Volvo ActiveCare Direct advanced telematics system.

## Redesigned Cab Access for Operator Comfort

Operators will also notice an updated cab entrance, with three ergonomically positioned steps, handrails and a wide-opening door providing straightforward access throughout the working day.

Inside, a high seating position and all-round visibility provide a clear view of the machine, attachment and surrounding the job site. Low in-cab noise, heating and optional air conditioning, an adjustable steering column and ergonomic joystick help keep operators comfortable throughout the working day. A 5-in. display, intuitively controlled via a jog wheel, provides easy access to key machine information.

"The L30 and L35 are already proven machines, so our focus with these updates was on listening to operator feedback and making work easier," said Ashton. "We've added practical improvements that keep maintenance straightforward and boost site output, helping customers get even more done every day."

Production of the updated Volvo L30 and L35 compact wheel loaders is scheduled to begin in late 2026.
