Walsh Equipment Company held an open house Sept. 28 and 29 at its facility in Prospect, Pa.

Nearly 1,800 contractors and their families attended the two-day event. Manufacturer representatives of many of Walsh Equipment’s product lines, including a full contingent from JCB, were on hand to answer questions and help out. JCB’s famous Dancing Diggers also performed for guests.

For more than 50 years, Walsh Equipment has been treating its customers to open houses every few years. Founded in 1932 by Philip Walsh, today the company is run by his son, Mike Walsh. Three generations of the Walsh family are involved with the business with Mike Walsh’s son, Charlie, a part of the company’s management team.

Walsh Equipment Company is a full-line JCB dealer in its 23 county market area in western and central Pennsylvania. The company’s other lines include J & J Truck Bodies & Equipment, LeeBoy, Rosco, Schwarze street sweepers, Tiger mowers and Western Snow Plows.
