Yancey Bros. Co., the “Nation's Oldest Caterpillar Dealer,” has officially opened its newest full-service parts, sales and service location in Macon, Ga.
The new location, at 1025 Frank Amerson Parkway, will be Yancey's second largest facility in Georgia, relocating from its Broadway address where Macon parts, sales and service locations have been conducted since construction of that store in 1957.
Constructed in 2017, the facility, which is located on 26 acres at the Hartley Bridge Road exit, will provide service to both construction, truck and Bluebird Bus customers with a 15,000 sq. ft. parts warehouse, a 29,000 sq. ft. main service shop, 19 full-service bays and an additional 9,000 sq. ft. undercarriage and weld shop.
Parts department will host the company's cross dock that will supply parts to 10 stores
Taller, stronger cranes capable of removing truck beds off of 50 and 70-ton rigid frame haul trucks
First automated undercarriage wash at Yancey Bros. Co. capable of cleaning undercarriages in 15 minutes using 600 gallons per minute versus up to three hours without automation
Company's largest wash bays capable of pinning rigid frame beds up so they can be cleaned thoroughly before coming into the shop
Computerized oil and fuel dispensing for better inventory control
