Ziegler Cat Appoints New President, Vice President

The Board of Directors of Ziegler Cat has elected Stan K. Erickson to the position of president and chief operating officer and Mark R. Allen to executive vice president and chief financial officer.

Erickson joined Ziegler in 1981 and most recently served as executive vice president and chief financial officer.

Allen joined Ziegler in 1983, and before this assignment, served as vice president, administration.

“We are very pleased to be promoting Mr. Erickson and Mr. Allen to these key corporate positions,” Ziegler Chairman of the Board William L. Hoeft, said, “Stan’s extensive experience and knowledge of our overall operations, as well as his leadership abilities, will serve him well as he takes over his new assignment. Mark’s expertise and extensive background in the financial area of the company will be beneficial as he undertakes his new responsibilities. Both will prove to be an excellent complement to Ziegler’s corporate focus on achieving operational excellence and delivering high levels of customer service.”

Ziegler, a Caterpillar dealer, was founded in 1914 and represents the full line of Cat construction, paving, forestry, and mining equipment, as well as generators and truck engines in Minnesota and Iowa. The company also is a dealer of Challenger ag equipment, LEXION combines and Ag-Chem application equipment in Minnesota, Iowa and Wisconsin.

With headquarters in Bloomington, Minn., Ziegler employs nearly 1,400 people and operates facilities in 18 communities throughout the tri-state area.
