3D Construction Printing Conference Draws Crowds

 3D Printhuset A/S organized a conference in Copenhagen on Nov. 30, where pioneer Behrokh Khoshnevis of Contour Crafting, the originator of the concept of 3D construction printing, was the first of many speakers. Following him, more than 200 attendees had the opportunity to hear presentations from companies like Winsun, Apis Cor, Sika, Xtree and many others. 

 The global leaders representing conventional materials and construction companies were also in attendance Sika, Vinci Construction & Royal BAM Group gave presentations about why they had become involved in 3D construction printing. The final section was devoted to the Danish Partnership for 3D Construction Printing, where NCC Construction, Force Institute and 3D Printhuset made their notable speeches. 

The event also attracted academic researchers within the area, including representatives from Batiprint (Nantes University), Technical University Eindhoven, Zublin-Strabag, Ecole De Lille, ETH Zurich, Teknologisk Institute and many other institutions involved in 3D construction printing.

At the end of the conference the attendees had the opportunity to visit The BOD, Europe's first 3D printed building done by 3D Printhuset.
