A&D Equipement Dealer of New Haven, Conn., (A&D) recently came on board as a dealer of MB America Inc. MB was first worldwide to produce a line of jaw-crushing attachments for excavators. In 2010, MB opened U.S. offices (in Reno, Nev.) and began introducing the equipment in America.

A&D Equipment Dealer is a division of Lafata & Sons Inc. The LaFata name has been part of the Connecticut business world since the 1950’s, with business ventrues involving commerical and residential lansdcaping. Both A&D and LaFata & Son’s service area is well established along the Connecticut shoreline and numerous town/cities inland.

In 1976, Salvatore Lafata added excavating into his company’s capabilities. During the early 1980’s, Salvatore’s son Anthony expanded commercial production and added recycling. To increase profits, Anthony started serious consideration of an MB crushing attachment. By 2006, a BF70 joined the LaFata equipment fleet. Now, they have everything needed to handle a full range of projects — simple residential to complex commercial. The MB crusher also works in tight, tough terrain, in all kinds of weather.

LaFata emphasized, “many companies just have a ’get in and out fast’ attitude. At the end of the day it’s not only about a quality job, done in timely manner. I also care about what’s left on the table for my company. Now, with the BF70, everything is onsite. I can crush and recycle right on the spot. Projects move more efficiently, so we see better profits.”

In addition to the BF70 enhancing job site efficiency, LaFate is very pleased with the savings on fuel costs.

“With the price of fuel and the cost of dumping it is harder to be competitive. The BF70 gives me back that edge.”

LaFata will be offering all four models of the crusher and three screeners. He is willing to discuss rental terms for combinations of excavators and MB products for long or short term.
