On March 1, Associated Equipment Distributors sent a letter of support to House Agriculture Committee members, urging passage of the 2026 Farm Bill, H.R. 7567, the Farm, Food and National Security Act of 2026.

"The farm economy is the backbone of our nation and equipment dealers are essential partners in ensuring America's agriculture sector thrives," said Brian P. McGuire, president and CEO of AED. "AED urges strong, bipartisan support for the Farm, Food and National Security Act, and looks forward to working with lawmakers in the House and Senate to provide much needed certainty, support and stability to farmers, ranchers and rural America."

The latest correspondence comes soon after the association delivered its most recent letter calling on Congress to immediately approve legislation permitting year-round E15. The letter's delivery coincided with AED member companies representing farm equipment dealers taking the message to lawmakers on Capitol Hill.

The Farm, Food and National Security Act of 2026 is scheduled to be marked up by the House Agriculture Committee on March 3 at 5:00 p.m. EST. You can watch a livestream here.
