Approximately 20 cars damaged by Superstorm Sandy were auctioned off — this drew interest from many people and car experts who came to check out their condition. There’s always something new and fun at an Alex Lyon auction. Be sure to bring your kids to the next one! Mergin Isaku, a manager of A&A Masonry, located in Stamford, Conn., enjoyed the great weather during the Alex Lyon auction. Kevin Sagona, owner of Sagona Contracting, Staten Island, N.Y., checks out a skid steer for his company. Jason Wimmer is looking at different types of equipment for different jobs he does on his own. Bob Rizzetti (L), president of Rizzetti Auto and Truck, Turnersville N.J., and Troy Fraley, owner of Fraley Excavating, Neptune, N.J., take a look under the hood of a utility truck. Jim Cannon, vice president of Allied Painting, Cherry Hill, N.J., is very optimistic about the industry and having work for years to come. Jack Lyon maintains order for enthusiastic bidders. A great turnout highlighted the Alex Lyon & Son auction at the Atlantic City Racetrack on June 22.

The sale featured very late model Caterpillar, John Deere and Komatsu earthmoving equipment, as well as a wide selection of rental fleet equipment. Also going on the block were vehicles damaged by Superstorm Sandy, which drew many car experts to the sale.
