The latest in rainwear as modeled by Billy Propct from Brooklyn, N.Y. A couple of single-axle dump trucks purchased at the auction are loaded up and ready to be delivered. Todd Jakoby, assistant used equipment manager of Stowers Machinery Corp., Knoxville, Tenn., works the sticks of a Caterpillar hydraulic excavator. Mike Kapinus (L), Kap Construction, and Conrad Rudal, Pine Line Equipment, were looking over excavators for a friend’s scrap/junk yard in upstate Pennsylvania. Richard Wojtkowski of PLT.com, Pittsfield, Mass., uses a John Deere Gator to work his way around the auction site. Popping out of a Caterpillar dozer is Tino Ferretti of N&B Enterprises, West Wyoming, Pa. Mike Zyndorf of Mike Zyndorf LLC, Mays Landing, N.J., braves the elements during the Alex Lyon &Son, Atlantic City auction. Rows of backhoes were auctioned off at the old Atlantic City race track. All sizes of Caterpillar dozers went on the block. This year’s sale was a four-day event.

Alex Lyon & Son held a four-day rental return auction March 31 through April 2 at the old Atlantic City race track in Atlantic City, N.J.

The first three days of the sale featured an extensive selection of hydraulic excavators (76 in all), rubber-tired loaders (26), tractor loader backhoes (77), rubber-tracked skid steers (20), boom lifts (40), crawler tractors (35), several crushers and screeners, asphalt pavers, artic haul trucks and much more.

Day four of the auction featured more than 1,200 lots of new tools and support equipment.
