Mike Lester, UEM at Groff Tractor, the Case dealer for central and western Pennsylvania, uses a Kawasaki mule to get around the auction site. Manny Rocha (L) and Eucliodes Dominqua hope to roll their way to profits with this Dynapac soil compactor. Jack Whyte, general manager, Beck Equipment Sales and Rental, Preble, N.Y., reviews the sale catalog description of a hydraulic excavator. Ed Marcatonio, Ocean City, N.J., checks the control panel on a Genie boom lift from about 40 feet in the air. Another successful Alex Lyon Atlantic City auction in the books. Even the weather didn’t disappoint: A little snow on Friday added to the weather lore of the annual event.

Alex Lyon & Son set up shop in Atlantic City, N.J., from March 25 to 28 for its annual four-day sale by the sea.

The “largest four-day sale of its kind East of the Mississippi” featured a wide selection of construction equipment, aerial, forklift, support and truck and trailer inventories. In addition, there also was a quantity of upscale party rental equipment including tents, tables, chairs and moon bounces and brand-new building supplies, including custom kitchen and bathroom items.
