Alex Lyon Holds Annual Customer Appreciation Picnic

This year’s picnic was held on the eve of the company’s annual summer Canastota, N.Y., equipment auction.

Steak, grilled turkey, all you could eat shrimp, and all the fixin’s were enjoyed by all in attendance. Alex Lyon & Son’s picnic was attended by many of its customers. Daniel Patterson (L) and Bob Bertholde of B & D Motors in Nelliston, N.Y., have been picking up used equipment at Jack’s sales for decades. On July 10, Jack Lyon hosted the annual Alex Lyon & Son Customer Appreciation Picnic at the home farm and company headquarters in Bridgeport, N.Y. Since 1950, the Lyon family has held successful auctions. Today the company has grown to be the largest construction equipment auction house east of the Mississippi with sales held weekly all over the United States and many foreign countries. This year’s picnic was held on the eve of the company’s annual summer Canastota, N.Y., equipment auction.
