The Associated Pennsylvania Constructors (APC) is planning the 27th Annual APC/PennDOT Fall Seminar for Nov. 16 to 18, 2005, in Hershey and expects to attract more than 1,000 highway design and construction professionals. One of the highlights of the event will be a motivational keynote address by former Philadelphia Eagle Ron Jaworski.
PennDOT Secretary Allen Biehler is on the agenda, as well as Deputy Secretary Gary Hoffman, who is expected to draw a large crowd when he reveals the details of the anxiously-awaited 2006 PennDOT Highway Construction Forecast. A few high-profile projects will be highlighted as well.
Feature presentations will be conducted on Pennsylvania’s first segmental bridge, the Susquehanna River Bridge in Harrisburg, and the State Route 33 project in northeastern Pennsylvania, which involved the emergency reconstruction of two structures damaged by sinkholes.
