Atlantic Tractor Pulls Forward

Sixteen months after its merger, Atlantic Tractor has not only continued to serve those in the four-wheel-drive/scraper industry but is making tremendous strides forward in its commitment to be the preeminent John Deere dealer for this market, according to the company.

New service support vehicles have just recently been added to the already triple digit fleet of Atlantic Tractor vehicles, and a new scraper/pan service vehicle and a new preventative maintenance/lube truck have joined Atlantic Tractor’s service fleet.

Early last year, Atlantic Tractor also rolled out a 24/7 parts and service program for its commercial and agricultural customers. All Atlantic Tractor’s locations have a service and parts employee on call, 365 days a year. Accompanying this program also was the introduction of Atlantic Tractor’s extended parts warranty. It has extended John Deere’s 90-day parts and labor warranty to one year on Atlantic Tractor-installed John Deere parts.

A commitment to a multi-million dollar parts inventory and inter-dealer, free freight parts transfers all add to the arsenal of what Atlantic Tractor has to offer its customers.

Atlantic Tractor currently has 12 locations, including eight in Maryland, one in Pennsylvania, two in Delaware and one in Virginia. The next store is slated to be in Georgetown, DE, where construction has already begun and is expected to be operational later this year.

Currently, Atlantic Tractor’s locations employ 350 people — 45 of which are salesmen, 55 parts employees and 150 service technicians.

“The advantage that we have at Atlantic Tractor is that John Deere offers the complete package. Deere makes pull scrapers to match up to 365-hp row crop tractors all the way up to 450-hp articulated units, as well as specific scraper designated tractors. We are able to supply the equipment to match the needs of most operations,” explained Gary Sorrelle, earthmoving specialist/salesman.
