Bay Area Kenworth in Oakland, Calif., has added three locations to increase customer support in Northern California.

A member of the Kenworth dealer network of nearly 300 locations in the United States and Canada, Bay Area Kenworth’s new locations in Gilroy, Eureka and Redding join full-service dealerships in Oakland and Sacramento and a parts store in Hayward.

All full-service dealerships display a wide selection of Kenworth heavy and medium duty models. Primary customers are local pickup and delivery accounts, plus many construction and municipality customers.

“Our continuing goal is to support customers with new products and outstanding service throughout Northern California,” said Dealer Principal Harry Mamizuka. According to Mamizuka, the expansion throughout Northern California is especially strategic as environmentally friendly trucks expand throughout California.

“Kenworth is a leader when it comes to LNG-powered trucks, and medium duty hybrid trucks. There is a great deal of customer interest in green truck technology in California. Our message is we can sell and service all of this equipment.”

The dealer recently opened Bay Area Kenworth — Gilroy. The full-service, 30,000-sq.-ft. facility features 10 drive-through maintenance bays, large parts department and a paint booth.

The dealership is located at 5870 Monterey Road off U.S. Highway 101 in the Gilroy Garlic Farm Travel Plaza, 1 mi. south of the intersection of SR 152.

The dealer group also has added NorCal Kenworth — Eureka and NorCal Kenworth — Redding following a purchase of the former Redwood Kenworth Company in Eureka and Redding Kenworth Company.

NorCal Kenworth — Eureka has five service bays. The full-service facility is at 2846 Jacobs Avenue in Eureka and supports the coastal communities in Northern California.

NorCal Kenworth — Redding offers six service bays. The full-service facility is at 4601 Churn Creek Road in Redding.

“While we continue to grow with customers and add more locations, our eyes are squarely on service performance,” said Mamizuka. “We feel we offer the best product and innovations in the market, and we take our service pledge just as seriously. We would not be in a position to expand if we did not commit to world-class service.”
