Mel Kontour (L) and his son, Shawn of Fancher Inc. in Wheatland, Wyo., are looking for a motorgrader like this John Deere 772 CH to use on their ranch. According to Larry Morgan of Double M Excavating in Avendale, Colo., it was nearly too cold to check out this Galion 860 motorgrader. Jason Neppl of Pinnacle Structures Inc. took a precious few minutes to get a photo op with this Cat 924G wheel loader before jumping inside to check out the heater. Believe it or not, the main item the attendees wanted to check out were the heaters. Matt Harris (L) and Gregg Freidenberger of Rocky Ford Equipment in Rocky Ford, Colo., got to the auction early so they could look around before the snow hit.

A fair amount of snow blanketed the equipment on site at Roller Auctions’s heavy construction and contracting equipment sale, which was held on Nov. 6 and 7 in Denver, Colo.
