Black Warrior Auction Company held an extensive late model construction, aggregate, and logging equipment sale, which included trucks, trailers, and other miscellaneous items at its auction headquarters in Tuscaloosa, Ala., March 6.

The sale featured equipment from GE Commercial Finance; Wells Fargo Financial; First National Bank; Central Leasing; Peoples Banks; and many local area contractors and finance companies.

“This was one of our best sales yet,” said Mark White, president of Black Warrior Auction.

The combination of onsite and Internet bidding pushed the registered bidders list well over 700 with strong representation from the United States, Canada, Mexico, Dubai, Saudi Arabia and Africa.

“Over 80 percent of the auction items came from finance companies, banks and contractor absolute sellouts. Over 600 items, including 200 attachments of all types, made for a tremendous variety and some fast bidding. The variety is what really made this auction stand out in my mind. We had everything from new unused skid steer loaders and track machines to huge low hour rock crushing and aggregate equipment,” White said.

“The combination of a wide variety of equipment and an extensive advertising campaign was a big reason for our success,” he added. “From what I see for this year, there will continue to be a lot of equipment available from the banks, finance companies and contractors that will ultimately lead to some really good deals for the end users and resellers. We are already looking forward to an even better auction in May.”
