Bobcat’s HB1180 Hydraulic Breaker Boasts Auto Power

Construction Equipment Guide

The Bobcat HB1180 hydraulic breaker attachment meets the 750 ft./lb. impact energy class with its hard-hitting capabilities. It is approved for use on Bobcat skid steer loaders (models S220 through S300), compact track loaders (models T250 through T300), the A300 all-wheel steer loader, and compact excavators (models 337, 341, and 435).

The new HB1180 joins the other Bobcat hydraulic breaker attachment models — the HB680, HB880, and HB980 — which are designed to meet customer requirements for improved performance, efficiency, and reliability, while maintaining familiar Bobcat advantages, such as ease of mounting, versatility, and maximum productivity, according to the manufacturer.

Like the other Bobcat hydraulic breaker models, which are intended for concrete and general demolition work, the HB1180 has a new internal design with fewer moving parts, reducing overall service time.

Another advancement is the auto power feature, which is an automatic pressure regulator that ensures maximum performance of the hydraulic breaker, regardless of tool carrier hydraulic flow variations or changes in outdoor temperature, according to Bobcat. This means that each hydraulic breaker attachment delivers a high performance impact blow within a vast flow range of carriers.

The auto power feature also limits excessive pressure at the time of start-up. As a result, the energy chamber diaphragm is protected, allowing for longer service life.

The energy chamber diaphragm allows the nitrogen pressure to remain constant, so the breaker performance remains constant. No periodic recharging is required, thus the breaker is virtually maintenance-free and operational as soon as it is mounted to the carrier.

Bobcat hydraulic breakers are easy to mount with Bob-Tach and X-Change attachment mounting systems and can be utilized on a multitude of Bobcat machines, including mini track loaders, skid-steer loaders, compact track loaders, all-wheel steer loaders, and compact excavators.
