To help clients better manage their construction projects from ideation to occupancy, Buric Global is expanding its services to include owner representation.

Joseph M. “Joe” Kapitan, has been promoted to senior project consultant at Buric Global and will head the new service.

In the field of construction, an owner’s representative is exactly that — someone who works on the owner’s behalf to manage building projects from their initial planning to occupancy. On any given project, an owner’s representative will oversee design, planning, bidding, contract management and construction execution — ensuring that processes and plans meet anticipated budgets and schedules.

“As construction becomes more complicated, many owners find themselves challenged to provide the in-house resources or knowledge needed to successfully manage and complete their capital projects,” said Janet H. Zollinger, chief executive officer of Buric Global. “Instead of hiring internal construction management experts — which, in itself, may be outside their comfort zone — owners can outsource that responsibility to us at Buric Global, which has a proven track record of delivering projects on time and on budget.”

Kapitan is a construction management executive with more than 25 years of professional experience serving in the roles of construction manager, general contractor, architect and owner’s representative. A registered architect, Kapitan is a member of both the American Institute of Architects and the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards.

A member of the Buric Global team since 2006, Kapitan holds a master’s degree in management from the University of Arkansas and a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the University of Notre Dame.

Owner representation is just the latest way Buric Global continues to deliver unprecedented transparency and collaboration on capital projects.

Representing a proactive and entirely different approach to construction, Buric Global has been tested in a real-world laboratory on $1.4 billion worth of construction — and delivered each project on time, on budget and with no claims or litigation.

With its knowledgeable experts employing cutting-edge technologies — which include life-cycle Building Information Modeling (BIM), advanced Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling, and 4D scheduling — Buric Global helps eradicate construction-related problems virtually before they occur in the field, according ot the company.

Buric Global includes a web-based, real-time dashboard that allows its experts to share proprietary intelligence and analyses along with databases, documents and other project control information.
